Parker ready to start his day and for momma to leave (boohooooooo!!)
Today is the first day of school for our county. All the boys got up realatively well this morning - considering momma has let them pretty much get up when they wanted this summer ;-) Carter started 7th grade - first year at the middle school, Jacob is in 5th grade and Parker started Kindergarten. Parker was so excited to finally be able to go to school just like the boys AND to finally get to take his new backpack somewhere!! It is the little pleasures that sometimes make a kid's day...and today - it was a Wolverine backpack.
I wanted to take a picture of Parker getting out of the car, but he insisted I take a picture of his new backpack :-)

I would have taken a picture of Carter and Jacob, but they didn't want to get beat up at school because of their mushy mom snapping pictures...can't say that I blame them.

Oh - but think of all the things you will be able to get done during the day! (Yes, I am one of those bad moms who is secretively looking forward to just a few hours to myself, and I am trying to justify it by saying that after 32 years of having at least one child home with me, I will finally get to put pictures in my scrapbook without a little helper! - lol!)
I love the picture of Parker with his backpack. It is as big as he is!! You never realize how little kindergarteners are until you see them with the big backpacks on going to school with all the "big" kids!! I hope he feels comfortable with school soon and mornings get better!!
