Anna's First Day of REAL Preschool...

Today was Anna first day of REAL Preschool. Last year we went a couple of days a week for a couple of hours for speech therapy and some playtime. But this year she will be going for the full day 2 days a week...she was soooo pumped!

I snapped a picture as we were getting out of the car and thank goodness I did. As we got into the lobby of the school, Anna was pulling me towards her room. We got to the room I opened the door, gave Anna a kiss goodbye, waved at the teachers and then started taking the lens cap off my camera to get a shot of her walking into her room....BAM! Anna literally slammed the door in my face! Well, I guess I had rather her be ready for me to leave then having a screaming tantrum for me to stay. It was pretty funny and made me leaving her pretty easy ;-)

Parker on the other hand...my poor baby boy. He wants to stay home with his momma. He is having a hard time in the mornings and I just hate it. He was so excited before school started and now he is happy in the afternoons telling me all about his day, but the mornings, he is just worried to death that he has forgotten where his room is and that he will miss me "real bad." Oh it just rips my heart out.....

Elli stayed home with her daddy until I got back. I knew that if she went with us it would just be drama. She loves Anna and Parker and I knew if we got out of the car and went into the school to "leave" Parker and Anna...she would be upset that she couldn't stay. When I got home, she was standing at the door motioning me to go back to the car to get Anna. When she realized that Anna wasn't coming inside, she got really confused and then clinging to me and Rodney. When Rodney left, she started crying wanting, "Baba". As I downloaded the picture of Parker and Anna onto the computer, she got real excited when she saw them and then she started pointing at herself and saying, "Elli...Elli," then pointing back to the computer screen...like why isn't Elli in that picture?

Glad Anna's morning was good, hoping Parker's got better & trying to keep Elli occupied,

Big Brothers Go To School....

Parker ready to start his day
and for momma to leave (boohooooooo!!)

Today is the first day of school for our county. All the boys got up realatively well this morning - considering momma has let them pretty much get up when they wanted this summer ;-) Carter started 7th grade - first year at the middle school, Jacob is in 5th grade and Parker started Kindergarten. Parker was so excited to finally be able to go to school just like the boys AND to finally get to take his new backpack somewhere!! It is the little pleasures that sometimes make a kid's day...and today - it was a Wolverine backpack.

I wanted to take a picture of Parker getting out of the car, but he insisted I take a picture of his new backpack :-)

Yes, he really is this excited

I would have taken a picture of Carter and Jacob, but they didn't want to get beat up at school because of their mushy mom snapping pictures...can't say that I blame them.

No Time...

No real time to post - so I will just say that things are good, busy, hectic and happy. School is about to start (boohoo) and my baby boy is entering Kindergarten, sniff, sniff. Parker is very excited and I am happy he is - I don't know I could send him if he wasn't. Anna will be doing 2 full days a week and Elli, she will be having solo time with momma...something she hasn't had since China :-)

Here are a few pictures from July 4 (yes, I am that far behind!). It is something my boys look forward to every year - the party at Issac's house. (I just realized I didn't take one picture of Jacob...oops!)

Carter & Elli - Carter cannot, it is seriously impossible for him to take a "real" picture. He always has to do something.

A wagon full of kids! Cousins Colin & Carlee with Anna & Elli.

Anna getting dried off by one of her favorite people.

"I need a towel, I need a towel!"

Our house is getting closer, but oh so slow!!! Our flooring can't be done until the end of August....so another kink in my plans. I guess we will get there when we get there.

Crazy times, but blessed,
