Finally Home...

First, I don't know why that last post repeated, but oh well....

After a trip full of stories, experiences, nightmares and delays - We are finally home! Elli did wonderful considering she is a 3 year old, never flown before and had no conception of what was taking place - she was a doll. We arrived home, as in our driveway, around 3:00 am...did I mention delays?!?! But we are here, safe, together and happy. Elli is playing with the kids, checking out all the stuff and letting her brothers tote her around...that's a pretty big deal.

I will share some of our experiences ;-) later, but right now my brain is pretty much mush and we have 5 kids wide awake at 4:00 am!!!! We got up on China's "Thursday" morning at 5:00 am and have ended our journey home a mere 35 hours later - we walked through our door...it seemed like an eternity. We are so thankful to have made if safely and to be greeted, at nearly 1:00 in the morning, by a crowd of loving family. I couldn't hold back the tears when I finally got "a hold" of my other babies...pure joy. I hope all this makes sense because I seriously am in doubt of my proof-reading skills right now ;-)

Praying that our schedules fall in sync & thankful to be under the same roof as all our children,
Rodney & Marcy

Thanks so much for your update, Marci, and congratualations on a family united! Trying to get everything back into a routine is hard, but you have lots of experience, and I'm sure you'll do great! :) I especially remember how very DIRTY I felt after traveling so long. A shower in my own home was just heavenly!

OH bless your hearts.....you didn't need delays getting home to your other little ducklings! I'm so glad you took a minute to let us know you are home safe! I know you are in a zombie trance and will be for a couple of days....just update us whenever you can keep your eyes open long enough to type it. SO happy to know that Elli is letting her brothers play with her....that makes me smile!

I think it took me a month to recover from our trip to
China. I remember the first day I drove to the grocery store after being home and counted only 11 cars between my house and the grocery store. It was culture shock in reverse after being in the traffic in China! I'm so glad you're home and I'm excited to see all your pix when you finally get enough time and energy to download them! Until then, SLEEP every chance you get! ;o)
